Cody and Patrick

Hello, we are Cody and Patrick! We have been together for over twelve years and happily married for over seven. We are excited to build our family through adoption and share our love and sense of fun with a child. We’ve talked about adoption since our first date, and we are excited to finally be on this journey. Thank you for taking the time to learn about us and for considering adoption.

Our life together is centered around laughter and love and enjoying everyday moments. Whether we’re exploring a museum, going to a concert, cooking dinner, or hiking at a National Park, we enjoy spending time together and experiencing the world around us. We love to discover new things, and are always looking for the next adventure!

Cody is always finding ways to brighten someone’s day through a helping hand, a homemade treat, or a warm, reassuring hug. Thoughtful, creative, and deeply family-centered, he is a gifted problem-solver and natural multitasker who is truly meant to be a dad.

Patrick is warm with a calm energy and an unwavering love of learning. As a pediatrician, he brings humor, compassion, and reassurance to children and families every day and will bring that same steady, loving presence to fatherhood.

Our community is welcoming, diverse, and family-oriented, and we are fortunate to be part of an excellent school district. Our town itself is a wonderful home with plenty to do, from parks to restaurants to various seasonal festivals that make it a vibrant place to live. We truly love our neighborhood and city and are excited at the thought of sharing our home—and all that our community has to offer—with our child.

Our parenting philosophy centers on love, patience, and curiosity. We want to raise our child in an environment where they feel safe to explore, ask questions, and express themselves. Encouraging independence while offering guidance, and fostering empathy and kindness toward others, are principles we hold deeply. Their well-being will always be the top priority in our home.
