Tori and Michał

Through these brief paragraphs, we hope that you can feel the deep love we hold for one-another, our three fur babies, the people who surround us, and can feel our shared dream of becoming a family of three (six if you count the furs).

The poet Maya Angelou once said, “We delight in the beauty of the butterfly but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.” While we may not fully understand what you are experiencing right now, we pray that you find the inner strength and resiliency to carry you through.

Becoming a “We”

Our journey as a couple began in 2015 when we met on a dating app. We quickly knew that we were meant to build a life together. Things moved fast as we moved in together in 2016, became engaged in 2017, and married in 2018.

Adoption Holds a Special Place in Our Family

Today, we are incredibly excited about expanding our family through adoption as it has always held a special place in our hearts. Tori’s mom was adopted, and her immediate family was expanded through the foster care system.

Reaching this point was not without its challenges, especially during a four-and-a-half-year IVF journey. It was a difficult road emotionally and physically for Tori. Each setback brought heartbreak but also countless blessings. The biggest blessing was that it made us stronger as a couple and individually.

Fun Facts 

• Tori has traveled to 34 countries around the world.  Her favorites are Argentina, Australia, Namibia, and Spain.
• Michał is a car lover and recently purchased his 1st brand new car – a Camaro. He’s dreamed about having this car since we met.
• Michał was born in Krakow, Poland and immigrated to the U.S. when he was 17. Tori was born in Milwaukee, WI and moved to Chicago for college.
• Our dream is to retire in Spain.
• We spent our honeymoon in Florence, Italy.

Sunday Ritual and Dreaming of the Future

Sundays are cherished in our home as we spend the day cooking and baking delicious meals to enjoy during the week while listening to inspiring podcasts and music. We also love to take short road trips and explore new destinations around the world together. We envision a future where a child joins us on these adventures and that we get to pass on our love of creating nourishing meals to enjoy as a family.
