Adoptee Life Book Therapy Group (Ages 10–13)
Join us for our Adoptee Life Book Therapy Group for kids aged 10–13 years old!
This 3-day in-person event will be held at the Adoption Center of Illinois. It’s a meaningful opportunity for young adoptees to connect with peers and explore their adoption story and identity through art, writing, and discussion.
Facilitated by Claire Dixon, LCSW, ACI Therapist.
📅 Dates:
3 Saturdays — Nov 22 (9am–1pm), Dec 6 (9am–1pm), and Dec 13 (9am–1:30pm)
Families are invited at 12:30pm on the final day for a celebration lunch where the kids will share their Life Books.

What’s a Life Book?
A Life Book is a personalized collection of photos, mementos, writing, and art that helps adoptees process their adoption story. These books are more than keepsakes—they are tools for healing, growth, and connection, helping capture each child’s life journey in a meaningful, empowering way.
