SUMMARY:In-Person Adoptee Group for Kids (8-11yo)
DESCRIPTION:In-Person Adoptee Group \nKids\, ages 8-11\, are invited to Adoption Center of Illinois’ adoptee group. This group meets in person at the ACI office. \nThis support group offers a space for kids to meet other kids their age who are adopted and to share about their experiences\, thoughts and feelings through discussion and activities\, including writing and art. The group is facilitated by ACI’s therapist\, Claire Dixon\, LCSW. \nWho: Any 8-11 year old adoptee is invited (you don’t have to be connected to ACI to attend) \nCost: $150* for 4 group sessions\, or $40/session. Instructions for payment will be provided upon sign-up. \n*Scholarships available. \nWhen: Wednesdays from 6-7pm. Sessions on 3/5/25\, 4/2/25\, 5/7/25 and 6/4/25 \nSign up for 1-4 sessions. DESCRIPTION:Virtual Adoptive Parent Support Group \n\nAdoptive parents are invited to Adoption Center of Illinois’ support group. This group meets virtually on Zoom.  This virtual support group offers a space for adoptive parents to connect with others\, share about their experiences\, ask questions\, gain tools\, and discuss various topics related to the adoptive parent experience. The group is facilitated by ACI’s therapist\, Claire Dixon\, LCSW.\n\nWho: Any adoptive parent\, at any stage\, is welcome (you don’t have to be connected to ACI to attend)\n\nWhen: Third Wednesdays of the month from 7-8:30pm\, starting in April 2025.   Joining multiple sessions is encouraged!\n\nCost: $50/session.
